2018 is the Scottish Government’s designated year of young people, a platform to showcase the personalities and talents of Scotland’s young people.
What better a time for the Scottish Women’s Institutes to pilot a scheme to share their talents and expertise with girls in the Perth & Kinross area.
A new group for girls in Primary 4 - 7 and Secondary 1 - 3, will be formed in the new year to teach crafting, baking, flower arranging and art with the possible introduction of sport and outings later in the year. The group will be named “Junior Dippers” after the little bird and the fact that the girls will be dipping in and out of activities.
The aims of the group are to encourage girls to try a variety of skills under the auspices of the SWI and nurture the youngsters so that in the future they may choose to become members of the organisation.
Classes will be fun and informative and take place in The Hub, King Street, Perth, commencing on Saturday 27th January 2018 from 10.30am – 3pm. For more information and an application form please call Heather on Linda on 07971803557 or email email@example.com
